Little Adventures and Art Finds in the City

Hello All!

I am back again with a fun update of what all is going on! So recently, a acquaintance of mine posted on instagram that they would have a work shown at the Art and Science Museum here in ATL. I for one had no idea this place existed, but MAN am I glad I heard about them! It's by the Pullman Yards and it's super intimate but very progressive and also FREE! The exhibition was titled JUSTICE, and had several works that were discussing various prompts about access and experiences, while remaining pretty open to interpretation. From a huge redecorated MARTA bus to a seesaw that had used technical sensing to portray the weight of attributes, it was an incredible opportunity to explore. I learned alot about the town of Lightening, played a video game that tracked data on how the participating patrons go about sentencing people who committed crimes in various prompts, as well as learning about several organizations that work to help improve the lives of homeless people and at risk youth! In videos added here, you see me and my peer Stephanie Brown discuss her project and witness me and my friend Samar explore and play a bit, like the big kids we are lol.

Regardless of where you live, I say follow some local artist and see what they've got going on! I'm sure it's something, and it's likely worth seeing. So happy to have been able to support my peer and friend Stephanie Brown (follow her here)!

Until next time, please take good care of yourself and stay lovely :)
