Lovely & Ghetto Thesis Accumulation Video

Hey everyone! So finally after what feels like forever (it’s literally been like a month post grad) I managed to edit this video of my thesis creative process. This process was so… much. So many wonderful and stressful things happened in the process of creating Lovely and Ghetto, which is essentially a summation of myself by exploring my traits, habits and memories through characterization, to then have them embodied by my amazing cast of dancers. We explored so much by being honest and vulnerable in our dance space, and we truly all became family! They not only gave space for me to mess up and hone my skills as a choreographer, but they respected my vision and were just as committed to seeing it happen as I was. So many prompts, song playlist, improv sessions, discussions, and just about any other interdisciplinary idea I felt could help us dig deeper went into creating my first live performance work for the stage! I love this, everything about it. I am so excited to make work again, but after a long, well deserved break (hopefully lol)! I hope you enjoy the video!
